An Overview of Our Products
Sonshine Minerals is all about capturing the goodness of the California sun in each of our jars of handcrafted, premium-made sugar scrubs. Our range of scents include fresh Orange County citrus (lemon, orange, grapefruit), to more seasonal spicy scents including vanilla chai, warm vanilla sugar, lavender coconut, and peppermint.
Whipped coconut oil infused with a proprietary blend of moisturizing oils serve as the foundation for each jar of exfoliating scrub. Added to the whipped oils are both fine and textured crystals of pure cane sugar, along with other exfolliants which may include sun-dried fresh citrus peel, organic rice grains, lavender pods, and infused tea leaves.
Essential oils finish off each product with just the right amount of fragrance and added richness your skin deserves! Vitamin E and organic raw honey are added to help extend the shelf-life of our oil-based products by preventing rancidity.
Are The Ingredients Really All Natural?
One of the first reviews on our products which was left on Amazon.com came from a customer who has bought from us multiple times in the past several months. Her overall response was that she appreciated that the list of ingredients didn’t contain words she couldn’t pronounce, but could trust to not be toxic on her skin.
At this time, no chemical preservatives have been added; rather, honey has long been known for its antimicrobial properties, and can retard the growth of bacteria should the scrubs come in contact with water.
As for the rest of the products, we strive to process our scrubs with only the freshest and most natural of ingredients – nothing chemically altered.
Our Inspiration

In general, after moving to California several years ago, I found myself in awestruck amazment and appreciation of the natural fruits, vegetables, and herbs that seem to be growing in abundance here in Orange County. I never tire of seeing the horizon marked with snow-capped mountains and varieties of palm trees waving in the breeze. And the aroma of night jasmine literally makes my entire yard smell of perfume, not to mention when the citrus trees are in blossom!
Needless to say, Sonshine Minerals is pleased to share with our customers the wonderful goodness growing around us, that only Our Creator can provide!
